1900's Wileman & Co. Shelley Foley Intarsio Clock Time & Tide Wait for No Man

FREDERICK ALFRED RHEAD (1856–1933) for WILEMAN & CO. FOLEY 'INTARSIO' TABLE CLOCK, CIRCA 1900. Art Nouveau, Folk Art printed and painted decoration, inscribed with motto "Time and Tide Wait For No Man". Maker's marks 3115. Rd. No. 337998. Circular dial with Arabic numbers. Father Time on front with Motto just below. Birds (time flies) around clock face. The porcelain face shows age with 3 hairline cracks present. Hands intact and do move easily. I have wound the clock a couple of turns but does not appear to work. One old repair to base as pictured. Does not distract from display. These clocks are hard to find and very worthy of restoring to working condition. Stands 9.75" tall x 4.75" wide x 1.75" deep. The Wileman & Co. Foley was the precursor of Shelley China Co.
