This popper should last you a lifetime!  It doesn't get "retired" until it has rusted to death...that would be from the salt where it is not cleaned properly after use. THIS IS NOT THE 2404EX international model which is needed for 220-240 volt 50 Hz electrical requirements.
Picture below displays the double hung kettle. Many mfg. have their kettles with only one "swing" arm which is dangerous to the user due to the "swing" motion which can burn the user as they "dump" the kettle. Our type of arm has the  user lift out the kettle from the two sturdy brackets when needed for cleaning.  But it is not needed to do that when you "dump" the kettle.  Kettle just moves within those two sturdy arms as you dump it.  A real safety feature.
