    Here's a very nice example of the battery operated 13-inch tall Frankie the Roller Skating Monkey toy that Alps produced in Japan in 1961. I put in a pair of batteries and could not get the forward/reverse motors to respond. Might be due to age of test batteries. There's no corrosion in the battery compartment. Cosmetically, the toy rates Excellent. Box shows some wear, but retains insert.
