Estes Pro Series II 9713 Sahara Clone Kit. Estes parts. 2.5" dia. 47" tall! Condition is "New".
A few years back, Estes introduced the Pro Series II line of mid-power rockets only to discontinue them a few years lster. The scarcity drove prices through the roof making them too expensive to build - but now you can with cloned kits of the originals now upgraded with Kevlar shock cords.
This is a kit of the Sahara, one of three kits that were only available online, and one of the rarest. This rocket builds to 47" tall and has a very "sounding rocket" look. This clone uses genuine Estes Pro Series II parts and my laser-cut fins and rings.
This kit includes an Estes 2.0" diameter nosecone, a 2" body tube, a 2.5" to 2.0" transition, 2.5" slotted and unslotted tubes, a 2.5" coupler, 29mm motor tube and three laser cut, baltic birch fins and three 2.5" centering rings. I also include 6 feet of 750lb test Kevlar shock cord and two 1/4" launch lugs. You will need to provide a parachute and motor retention of your choice.
Instructions are not available for this Pro-series kit on the Estes website, but I include an "exploded view" drawing showing how the parts go together. You can also contact me directly if you have any questions about how to assemble it. This is not a beginner's kit, but is easy to assemble if you have built a mid-power rocket before.
If you are into the Pro Series II rockets like I am, this is a must-have kit that will blow the barn doors off on F and G motors.
