Description
Maker: Before there was Shelley - coveted by so many collectors - there was the Wileman Company, the firm acquired by Percy Shelley in 1910 and renamed Shelley. It began producing porcelain under the Shelley brand in around 1912 but before that, it produced goods under the name The Foley China.
This lovely scalloped creamer has the pink Foley mark that was in use between 1892 and 1910.
Design
: The creamer features a pale pink, blue and yellow floral design against a cream background. The edge is trimmed in gold.
The pattern number 5068 is handwritten on the reverse along with the English registration number that dates the pattern's registration to 1891.
Condition
: The creamer is in overall excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, repairs or scratches. There is wear to the gold edges and light staining inside; it's visible in the photos.
Size
: The creamer is 4 inches wide between the tip of the spout and the far end of the handle, 2 3/8 inches tall and weighs 2.2 ounces.
Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
