    Description

The item for sale is a piece of redware pottery that were made in Trenton, NJ by the Stangl pottery company during 1970-1978.  The pottery is a serving plate in the Rooster pattern.  The pattern features a hand painted rooster depicted in a Folk Art style against a white background. The size is the same as a dinner plate.  However, the design of the rooster and the white background are different from the dinner plate which has a yellow background. The plate was previously owned and saw extensive use.  There is some crazing lines to the transparent top glaze.  This allowed liquid to seep underneath and stain or discolor the plate.  This can be seen in the photograph.  There are a few edge chips on the underside of the plate as shown.  The diameter of the plate is 10 1/8".
