VINTAGE LARGE HANDMADE HANDHELD PRAYER WHEEL.(FRAGILE)
Tibetan prayer wheels (Mani wheels) are devices for spreading spiritual blessings and well being.
Large, vintage,handmade, handheld prayer wheel was made in Nepal. The detail is truly amazing! the body is made of wood and brass .
It’s decorated with accents of the six-syllable mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum, and 8 auspicious symbols motives in the metal. It has a wooden handle and a weighted cord.
Inside the prayer wheel are scrolls wound around an axle containing mantras and prayers, Om Mani Padme Hum mantra printed in Sanskrit script, which multiply with each turn. It can be opened to add your own prayers. Spin the wheel clockwise whenever you feel the need to improve your karma. It brings you continuous good wishes and joy!
From Buddhist centers and temples, to monasteries and stupas, prayer wheels are turned clockwise in which activates to release prayers and mantras generating tremendous merits and distributing exponential blessings and positive wishes into the heavens, and for all beings.
It is suggested that one recites the six-syllable mantra while spinning the prayer wheel.
While it’s also believed that as the wheel is spun, the practitioner is gaining wisdom and destroying negative karma, and therefore progressing along the spiritual path.
Prayer wheel measures approximately 11 inches long and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. As each item is handmade.
