This mid-century tin litho toy is from Cragstan Ichida - Made in Japan. It is a battery operated toy; I inserted two "D" cells and it did not operate (the battery box slips down on one end when I inserted the forward battery, which might be the issue). The horse still has his original ears and real horsehair? tail. The driver is missing his cowboy hat; while not original, a replacement can be found for about at craft stores. The brake lever near the driver is intact, as is the hard rubber surrounding the back wheels. What appear to be the original reins? are intact as well. The driver will remove from his peg seat. This piece was found "in the wild" and I have left it in the same condition as I found it, dust and all, but hopefully the photos will show that it's been kept in nice dry condition with mostly good paint and little deterioration.
